SNOW DAY INFO
A UNIVERSITY MODEL SCHOOL:

Educational research has proven time and again that parents are the
most influential factor in a child’s academic success.

Until the University-Model School (UMS) came along, the only
alternative to traditional classroom education was home schooling.
Although home schooling is an excellent option, it is difficult for many
parents to maintain through high school, particularly with more
advanced classes. UMS students attend classes only half the
traditional number of hours, with amazing results in the areas of
character development and college preparation. The secret is the
higher degree of parental involvement that is systematically
integrated into the college-like format.

For more information about the National Association of University
Model Schools, please visit their website at
www.naums.net.

INTRODUCTION TO USCS:

USCS incorporates the best aspects of traditional schools (public
and private) with home education. Through this model, K through 12
students are well-prepared for higher education while developing
spiritually in the Christian faith. Quality classroom instruction is given
two to three days a week, where a high standard in academics is
emphasized.  On the alternate days, when students are at home,
parents continue the instruction or maintain student progress as
each student completes his/her assignments.  USCS teachers
provide parents with complete instructions for the days spent at
home.

In addition to providing a quality education, at USCS we want our
students to develop a passion for worship, strong character
qualities, and leadership skills.  To that end, we offer opportunities
for mission trips and community service and plenty of outdoor
adventures.
